Loud-n-Clear
was formed
in 1995 as a co-operative venture between Loud-n-Bow and Bytesmith
- two companies with a successful range of software products and
an in-depth knowledge of databases, development systems and high
volume transaction processing.
Armed with this experience we set out to explore
the possibilities of the Internet, specifically in the areas of
distributed working and the predicted merger between active web
systems and databases. We were the first fully virtual company in
the UK - at least according to The Times - and have supported teleworking
and teleworkers ever since as sponsors and hosts of the European
Telework Organisation (ETO) website.
The
result
is a company which has "been there, done that" on other platforms
and now knows how to apply hundreds of man years of experience in
database and transaction based systems to the Internet and active
web systems. Some of our customers are amongst the most advanced
users of active web technology in the world, while others have developed
simple systems of huge power by using our off-the-shelf components
and interactive site maintainence tools.
Loud-n-Clear.com,
our sister company,
was formed in 1998 as a company specialising in e-commerce shopping
systems. This allowed Loud-n-clear.net to concentrate on e-business,
bespoke solutions and advanced database applications. Loud-n-Clear.net
provides the infrastructure which supports Loud-n-Clear.com, and
a growing number of niche development companies who prefer not to
run their own network and server infrastructure.
As
our base has grown
we became irritated with the quality of services provided by other
ISPs and found that we were providing more and more of our own facilities,
so much so that we decided we could make these available to others
to leverage our investment in infrastructure. We now provide all
of our own services except for some dialup connections. We also
build our own hardware and can supply server systems as part of
our co-location packages.
